BA (Hons) Industrial Design

Using digital media and computer design visualisation tools BU Industrial Design students are flexible designers able to design anything from a teapot through to a space rocket. The course focuses on humanistic aspects such as ergonomics, aesthetics and commercial design.

Overview

BA (Hons) Industrial Design Airport Relaxation Zone by James Salmon This course prepares graduates for a wide range of design roles including industrial product design, visual media and graphics, furniture and interior design, marketing and commercial design, as well as packaging design and branding.

The optional work placement enhances career opportunities even further. Recent placements have taken place in companies such as Ben Sherman, JC Decaux and Steam Car Company.

As well as displaying final year projects in the annual Festival of Design & Innovation, students also have the opportunity to commercially exploit their final year projects and turn design dreams into a commercial reality with support from BU Innovations Ltd.
