Overview
Set within state-of-the-art industry standard facilities, BU Product Design students benefit from a design centre featuring modern manufacturing and technical workshops, a specialist CAD laboratory, as well as rapid prototyping equipment.
The work placement allows our students to increase their employability even further by spending at least 40 weeks in industry. Recent placements have taken place in companies including Ford of France, Johnson & Johnson, Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd and BT Labs.
As well as displaying final year projects in the annual Festival of Design & Innovation, students also have the opportunity to commercially exploit their final year projects and turn design dreams into a commercial reality with support from BU Innovations Ltd.
